DESIGN TABLE. ALLDESIGN

We attended the Alldesign, 3rd International Design Conferences & Creative Industries Fair held at Hilton Istanbul - Exhibition Center on 21-22 February.

I designed a stand that I called "Grand Bazaar and Han's Table".

I created a MENU from the products I designed for this table:

• GRAND BAZAAR. DOME

I am aware that the characteristics of this magnificent structure of the GRAND BAZAAR, the foundations of which were laid in 1460, which has a unique texture, a unique sales and production network and resembles a city with its texture, are being damaged day by day by human hands. Its texture is kept alive by craftsmen, production and sales together.

Let's not lose...

" GRAND BAZAAR . DOME " ring, an inverted, large dome, on the finger; STRANGE, INVERTED, INCONSISTENT, just like the current use of GRAND BAZAAR... " GRAND BAZAAR . DOME "I molded the inside of the dome; Mold is small living beings formed by moisture, heat and air on organic materials that are about to decay... The TURMALINE stones are swaying around the moldy dome as if they are going to break at any moment... In order to feel that the richness and diversity in the GRAND BAZAAR is trying to hold on and exist together with the moldy texture that is about to decay, but that this richness is going to break away at any moment, I tied the TURMALINE stones to the DOME with thin copper wires...

The doors of imagination are the KEY to LOVE.

For the necklace I named DREAM KEY:

The road was long and difficult, some people got tired along the way,

They were holding on stubbornly, the dream was getting bigger as they held on.

• KAIROS

Sustainable time...

Known as the god of opportunity in Greek mythology, Kairos, the youngest son of Zeus, has wings on his shoulders and feet. The back of his head is bald and he only has a tuft of hair on his forehead. For this reason, it is said that only those who confront him can capture him, not those who chase him. Kairos does not refer to the time on the clock, but to the time we feel. It measures the quality and value of time. It allows us to be at the moment when time gently flows by. A person does not catch Kairos time, on the contrary, they join it. I compare Kairos to people living in big cities. We are also running non-stop, we do not have time to breathe. However, when we realize it and stop for a moment, time can also stop. Everything is in our hands. When I realized this, these small porcelain plates made me forget about time and took me on a daydream. When I found these plates, which were made for completely different purposes years ago but forgotten in a corner of a workshop, they came into my life. Kairos…
