''The realisation of a stone house on the Bodrum peninsula was the culmination of a long-standing dream - to create architecture and design in such an inspiring and beautiful landscape and to experience the history and spirit of the area. A chance visit to Bodrum started me on this adventure.
The house looks out over a long valley in the hills to the west, to the blue sea where the sun sets and the Greek islands sparkle in the distance. We wanted to create a stone house in Bodrum design with a bit more modern elements. It was a challenge to build on such a steep slope, but it offers a stunning view over this rocky valley and olive groves. From the swimming pool, despite the distance, it seems like you are swimming in the sea. In summer, the breeze protects you from the extreme heat, so it is always pleasant to relax outside in the shade or under the columned terrace.
An evening watching the sunset over the sea from different parts of the house, with a drink, is my favourite time there.'
