TO RUN

2015 is a new year; new dreams, new goals and new cities to run in... The best part was starting to run in 2014, it was a great start for me. How did I start running? I have always loved reading the novels of the Japanese author Murakami. When I entered a bookstore in the first quarter of 2014, I found his book “If I Hadn’t Run, I Couldn’t Write”. I bought it without looking and started reading it immediately.
I was in Riyadh again. While there, I noticed that the palm garden in the palace was suitable for running. I woke up and started running. Of course, it wasn’t that easy. I had to be organized and tidy. I bought some clothes, downloaded an app and a playlist. I started running 5km non-stop. It was a great pleasure during my busy time in both Istanbul and Riyadh. I found different running tracks in Istanbul and other cities I visited. The first visit was much more enjoyable. Running was the ideal way to explore the city.
While running, I realized that Istanbul has a different face. The fact that Istanbul is not crowded in the early hours of the morning, that I can choose my direction with a sudden decision and take time for myself makes me feel free. While running, I organize the day, dream, plan my goals, solve problems or just have fun. Being energetic and positive at the beginning of the day is a real privilege. My first serious run was the Eurasia Marathon in Istanbul in 2014. I ran a 15K. It was a great experience to run from Asia to Europe over a bridge. I completed the marathon in 1 hour and 20 minutes. In 2014, I ran in 4 cities: Riyadh, Istanbul, Dubai and Delhi. I am preparing for Run Anatolia in Antalya on March 1, 2015.
Running is so much fun...
Running is both a mental and physical balance...
Running is freedom.
I love running.
