Summer Diary I
BODRUM, the city in the south west of Anatolia, on the Mediterranean coast, I always think of the writings of Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı known as “The Fisherman of Halicarnassus”, and Azra Erhat. I started to read their books in high school years at on my father’s suggestion.

I first started imagining the Bodrum Peninsula just through these books, without even being there.

Let’s have a look how “The Fisherman of Halicarnassus” describes Bodrum :

“When you reach the top of the hill, you will see Bodrum. Don’t assume that you’ll leave as you came. The others before you were the same, too. As they departed, they all left their souls behind.”
The Fisherman of Halicarnassus

If we talk about the magnificent house where we stayed; a stone house inspired by the Mediterranean culture; which has become a part of nature with its architecture and interior design. It calmly hugged us and support us to rest.

SAGE and CREDO created pleasant memories with the household at different times of the day, you can watch the whole story on our Instagram profile.

I will share my chat with Janet Chisholm, who built the house, in the following days about this lovely stone house.

And of course, we will have another chat with M.Serdar Samlı, who took the photos and produced the video about Summer Diary.
