Summer Diary II

The house looks west down a long valley in the hills to the blue sea, where the sun sets and the Greek islands shimmer in the distance. We wanted to create a stone house in the Bodrum design with some more modern elements. It was a challenge to build on such a steep hillside, but this gives a stunning view over the rocky valley and olive groves. From the swimming pool it looks like you are swimming in the sea despite the distance. A breeze in the summer protects you from the extreme heat, so it is always pleasant to relax outside in the shade or under the colonnaded terrace.

An evening with a drink watching the sunset into the sea from different parts of the house is my favourite time there.’’

Dear Serdar,
Let’s talk about Bodrum, and Photo shooting in Yalikavak?
‘’In general, we shoot studio shots for design products, in both plain and graphic series.
However, due to the pandemic process and mood that affected the whole world this year, this time we shot in a home and outdoor environment as we felt that producing bright, free images containing life at home will increase the energy of people.
One should pay attention to the moments in life. Because life is actually a sequence of moments. Like cinema is a directory of photos. Coincidences add color to our lives, depending on our ability to imagine. That’s why it’s important to recognise and treasure important moments.
CREDO’s blue point always reminds me of the sea. Maybe it’s because I like to dive. As humans, we need to keep questioning and wondering. I wanted to see the CREDO’s in the water while swimming in the pool at the house where we stayed in Yalıkavak, more precisely, I wondered how they would look.
The fascination of the visuals, our curiosity of that day and our childish excitement during shooting … Discovering and experiencing adds meaning to our lives. I think the shots are the best example of this. ‘’
