What We Have Done in 2019?

How great our elders said.

Drinking coffee is a habit we prefer to share with our loved ones, isn’t it?

Conversation with loved ones with coffee; what can be so relaxing to listen and share?

And the end of this sharing, fortune-telling; interpretation of the shapes in the cup, improvised developing conversations.

How wonderful it warms us.

Those who connect us to our loved ones and to life are these improvised details, don’t they?

No matter how much we plan our lives, I think it has changed direction with small or big steps we have improvised.

Are we aware of where we are going with our improvised choices we make without realizing it?

In city life, where we can’t take the time to stop and think, I ask what to do to avoid getting lost.

It’s always good to stop to find answers and get away from myself a few steps.

Let 2020 be a year in which spontaneous conversations are abundant and we devote more time to our loved ones.

OZLEM TUNA – ZERRE DESIGN

What we have done during 2019?

ATELIER

In the first days of 2019, our porcelain atelier moved to its new place in Istanbul.

Our new and large porcelain ovens took their places in the atelier.

We are able to produce products designed in a more comfortable and spacious environment.

NEW DESIGN SHOP

We moved to our new design shop and working place in the city center of Istanbul. Our shop is in the middle of Beyoğlu, Boğazkesen Street, down the new developing neighborhood Tomtom Designhood and near Galatasaray, Karaköy and Kabataş districts.

Our creative director Ozlem Tuna says; ‘Dreams come true.’

“When Özlem Tuna – Zerre Design company completed 16 years, it moved to its 6th place. The journey that started in Istanbul’s historical peninsula continues on the other side of the Golden Horn.

Our new space is two-storey;

Entrance floor, it is very enjoyable to meet new tourists every day in our shop where we exhibit our designs and to share what we have done.

Second floor is our design office. In the middle of the space is our kitchen uniting and embracing area.

The definition of the design office is “kitchen” for me.

I liked spending time in the kitchen since I was a kid.

Of course, my first kitchen is JEWELERY and the craftsmen in and around the Grand Bazaar.

PORCELAIN; In the field where I received university education, we start production in our own workshop.

And KITCHEN; the space where we cook my design and share.

I am really grateful for mixing these three disciplines in the same area.

The place where we realized our design, dinner and workshop plans and designed new projects to be developed interdisciplinary was exactly what I wanted.

I don’t want to finish it without telling our backyard. We look at the magnificent garden of the old French orphanage. The privilege of working towards to garden which accompanies us with its different lights and colors during the day with the sounds of our neighbor’s chickens and roosters is amazing.

The city always embraces us with different surprises.”

WE ARE GETTING YOUNGER

We are excited to be joined by our young friends. We continue to learn and teach by working with young graduates.

CORPORATE WORKS

• Prize-Sculpture: Istanbul, Turkey Exporters Association;

We designed and produced the sculpture of the Export Awards of the Ready-made Clothing Association.

• TROY Credit Card payment center that is designed to Turkey and they were happy to deliver to customers the products we produce

CREDO ISTANBUL COLLECTION

Istanbul is the city where we live and which is the inspiration of our designs.

In our Credo Istanbul collection, we started to think and produce on the beliefs of Istanbul.

ZODIAC COLLECTION

In 2014, the Zodiac collection designed by Özlem Tuna was produced in 18K gold. Our collection, which was discontinued in the following years, started to be produced in 929 silver and black gold plating in 2019.

Our necklaces used as unisex with their metallic black appearance were highly appreciated by our users.

COFFEE LOVERS

Our t-shirts, which we have been working on for 6 months, took their place in our design store and online store before the end of the year.

We’re excited.

‘The heart wants love, coffee is just an excuse…’’ we say.

ISTANBUL MARATHON

We have participated to 41st Istanbul Marathon as Ozlem Tuna Design Team and ran for the Koruncuk Foundation.

With our Corporate Running team; we are happy to be the intermediary for the collection of 9.160.00 TL for Koruncuk children.

NEWEST COLLECTION: SAGE

Our SAGE 2020 collection appeared on the web page. We are excited about the collection we created with the idea of questioning the relationship between human and nature and drawing attention to climate change.

We will share with you a collection that we will rethink our design and production processes and question and learn our relationships with nature.
