SUMMER DIARY I

When I think of BODRUM, a city on the Mediterranean coast in the southwest of Anatolia, I always think of the works of Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known as the " Fisherman of Halicarnassus ", and Azra Erhat . I started reading their books during my high school years upon my father's recommendation.

I started to dream about the Bodrum Peninsula without ever seeing it, just thanks to these books.

Let's see how "The Fisherman of Halicarnassus" describes Bodrum:

" When you reach the top of the hill, you will see Bodrum. Don't think that you will leave the same way you came. Those before you were like this too. They all left their souls behind when they left ."

If we talk about the magnificent house we stayed in; a stone house inspired by Mediterranean culture, which has become a part of nature with its architecture and interior design. It embraced us calmly and helped us relax.
